Polycaprolactone polyol (PCL polyol) is a biodegradable aliphatic polyester synthesized by ring‑opening polymerization of ε‑caprolactone with initiators such as diols or triols. It has terminal hydroxyl groups, low viscosity, good compatibility, excellent hydrolysis resistance, low‑temperature flexibility and biodegradability. It is widely used to make high‑performance polyurethane elastomers, coatings, adhesives and biodegradable materials.
